From my earliest memories, the natural world has always beckoned me. As a child, I was enamored with the beauty of animals, a love made tangible through the horses I've cherished since youth. My connection with Florida's picturesque beaches has been enduring, having lived here for 48 splendid years. My journey took me through the corridors of a nursing school in South Florida, culminating in a fulfilling stint as a critical care nurse in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. Life blessed me further when I married my husband, a dedicated cardiac surgeon, and together we raised two wonderful daughters who embraced my love for equestrian pursuits.
But amid the medical world and the equine fields, another passion was blossoming. Always armed with a camera, I delved deep into photography, capturing the majesty of equines, the allure of wildlife, and the many moods of nature. My proximity to the beach and travels across Florida deepened an already profound love for shelling. It became more than just a hobby; it was therapy. Each shell I collected became a testament to nature's wonder, often finding a second life in the arts and crafts I meticulously crafted. Today, the bustling beaches and the city's hustle have given way to the tranquil rhythms of Ocala, where our farm, our horses, and the memories of shells collected provide constant inspiration and peace.
