Hi there! I'm Kerri Skikne. Born under the warm African sun, I quickly swapped the South African accent for an American twang just a day after my arrival to the States. While Massachusetts was home for over two decades, the warmth of Florida beckoned, aligning more with my African roots and aversion to the cold. I took a surprising turn in my career, choosing to be a nurse practitioner despite a (now somewhat conquered) squeamishness towards blood and injuries. But don't let that fool you; my magic touch ensures you won't feel a thing when I give shots, and I've been dubbed the "Earwax Whisperer" by those in the know.
Being stationary isn’t my thing. If I'm not hunting for seashells on the beach, I'm diving deep to collect coral, scouring for shark teeth, or gathering shimmering sea glass. I can't help but immerse myself fully into the ocean's treasures, a love I've even passed on to my father. Beyond the beach, my artistic side comes alive, transforming nature's treasures into intricate art pieces and home decor. Future plans? To backpack through Southeast Asia, although I'll probably be shipping back more shells than clothes. And should I ever strike gold with a lottery ticket, you'll find me sailing the tropical coasts of the world.
